Utopienale is an annual creative gathering which focuses on practical philosophical, artistic, scientific, and activist approaches to civilizational survival in the face of increasingly intractable challenges of conflict, climate, understanding, and truth. At a time when the belief in the possibility of survival itself can be regarded as utopian, we continue to seek ways forward towards a sustainable and mutually beneficial future of humanity in the world.
Utopienale relies on art as an essential vehicle for envisioning this utopian practice, and aims to facilitate an interdisciplinary exchange between art, science, philosophy, and transformation studies. It combines conferences, colloquia, art exhibitions, concerts, and performances, originating at the Old School ICA in Havelberg, Germany.
